• The Kit Carson County Assessor’s Office has an opening for a full time Office Clerk/Data Gatherer or Licensed Appraiser. Salary is dependent on experience, plus excellent benefits. We are looking for an individual who is a strong team player with a positive attitude and is self-motivated. Functions: Duties include data gathering, physical inspections of properties, sales confirmations, assistance with county-wide reappraisals, protests, and customer service. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Appraisal/real estate knowledge and background preferred, yet not required. Computer skills are desired and an excellent customer service demeanor is a must. Good mathematical and analytical skills are necessary for adequate job performance. Knowledge of the assessment process, pertinent Colorado Statutes, property taxation and map reading are preferred. Licenses and Certifications: Applicant must possess a valid Colorado driver’s license with a safe driving record. • Kit Carson County Burlington Landfill is accepting applications for a part time Landfill Scale Operator Position. Applicant must be able to operate computerized scale equipment and be familiar with basic personal computer operation. Duties include general office duties and housekeeping tasks. Good communication skills and ability to work effectively with the public and co-workers are a must. Qualifications: Applicants must have a current and valid Colorado Drivers License. Must be self motivated and be able to work independently without direct supervision. Will train the right applicant on the scale equipment. • Kit Carson County Finance Department is accepting applications for a part time Finance Clerk This position is located in the Commissioners Office in the Kit Carson Courthouse in Burlington, CO and works under the supervision of the Finance Director and other department staff performing a wide range of Department support duties, including answering phones, greeting, responding to and assisting customers and courthouse visitors, preparing birth and death certificates, filing and data entry. Training is available for the right person. Qualifications:: This team player must have a positive attitude and the ability to successfully multi-task in a high traffic, high interruption environment. Must be able to work in a professional capacity with good interpersonal skills and have a working knowledge of general accounting procedures, basic typing and computer operation skills, and familiarity with Microsoft Office 2003 applications. Accuracy and attention to detail are essential. Salary $8.00-$10.00/hr. • Kit Carson County Ambulance Service is accepting applications for on call Emergency Medical Technicians and Support Staff. Kit Carson County Ambulance Service provides services as needed to eastern Kit Carson County and transports to the Denver Metro area. These positions are on call positions and considered part time. Call hours are flexible and paid per event. Other compensation includes uniforms, continuing education training, and opportunity to provide an essential and valuable service to the local community.
